The Origin of Fly Expectations
Fly Expectations was launched in late 2019 by Gina Clarke Bravo and Frank Sutton. The backstory of the company, Frank met Gina in 2018 due to their connection of coming from the Midwest, more specifically Toledo, OH. Since their meeting, they have been inseparable, and many have remarked that they were a fantastic example of Black Love, Black Health, and Black Family. Gina, currently a Ph.D. Candidate, is an educator at the collegiate level, helping to inspire and empower the next generation of professionals to become effective communicators in person and across all online platforms. Frank holds a Masters Degree in Public Health, focusing on Epidemiology. His research on the state of black health began in Toledo, where he realized the disparities within the Black community. He currently works in Houston to break those disparities through facilitating preventative health education. After a year of being urged to create a brand to empower and inspire, they decided to launch Fly Expectations. The printed products unapologetically affirm the brilliance of Black Love and Black Family. They are a Black family committed to promoting wellness within our community.
